With "Tränen der Vergangenheit - Part I" (Tears of the Past - Part I), STILLEKLANG releases its debut and takes the listener on a journey through a melancholic and multi-faceted world of sound. In addition to elements typical of black metal, acoustic guitar, piano and a sad, plaintive violin can be heard.
The lyrics are written in German, underline the melancholic-sad to desperate-rough character and also reveal a deep connection to nature.
STILLEKLANG is a solo project by Fabian Veith, who composed the music and wrote the lyrics. He is supported by guest musicians such as Marcus Röll, who played the drums and is known from projects such as GERNOTSHAGEN or HERBSTLETHARGIE and also designed the artwork of the release.

The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.
